Quibi is a new mobile video streaming service that debuted earlier this year. It raised $1.75 billion dollars prior to launch. They produce original movie-quality content designed for mobile devices. Each episode is no more than 10 minutes in length. And they leverage their unique "turnstyle" technology to make it easy to watch in portrait or landscape view.
As is always the case, we're most interested in the business perspective. Will Quibi succeed? Will it fail? And most important of all, what practical lessons and business insights can we pickup by studying their early strategy?
